Provides instructional and program design expertise for the development and support of academic projects in distributed learning formats.
• Evaluates and prepares recommendations on curricula, instructional methods, and materials.
• Responsible for assisting faculty in the design of instructional materials, development of learning resources, and retooling of courses and course segments to alternative delivery methods.
• Supports instructional design for faculty including development of instructional strategies, course materials, assessment techniques, appropriate integration of instructional technologies and best practices.
• Designs and produces learning materials in a variety of formats including print, graphics, audio, video, animation and multimedia to support researchers in the university.
• Develops instructional material, coordinates, and incorporates current technology for educators developing specific curricula.
Technology
• Assists in the assessment of teaching/learning challenges and provides tools, resources, and support to the faculty that will help address these challenges.
• Assist faculty in assessing their individual instructional technology needs.
• Designs and conducts assessment and evaluation of technology enhanced teaching environments.
• Provides assistance to faculty in the selection of electronic delivery methods, use of instructional software, and effective uses of multimedia.
Knowledge Transfer / Enhancement
• Prepares one-on-one consultations, workshops, training sessions, manuals, and guidelines on the improvement of teaching/learning environments through the use of E-learning technologies.
• Collaborates with faculty to improve student learning using sound instructional design principles.
• Conversant and able to apply adult learning theory including but not limited to, constructivism, cognitive learning theory, and distributed learning theory
• Researches and makes recommendations on educational best practices, instructional resources, instructional technologies and multimedia hardware/software to support teaching and learning.
• Support the formulation and definition of college level teaching and learning objectives.
• Provide training and support to faculty in technology enhanced media and technologies.

Technical Skills - Experience include instructional design, curriculum development, web development.
- Demonstrated computer competency especially with Learning/Course Management software (BlackBoard).
Non-Technical Skills or Attributes - General knowledge of hardware, network, computer lab configuration, and other basic information technology services including HTML coding, JAVA scripting, and multimedia production.
Required Education Bachelors in Computer Science or related degree.
